Tour Points

Putney Wharf
We're starting our tour at Putney Wharf, where Lucy Andrews was murdered in The Putney Bridge Killer. We will follow the killer's footsteps past the boat clubs on the embankment, the start of the iconic Oxford-Cambridge boatrace, and make our way along the towpath towards the history Hammersmith Bridge.
Hammersmith Bridge
We'll pause on the Barnes side of Hammersmith Bridge where we'll learn a little about the history of the bridge, and admire the Harrods Depot on the river bank.
St Paul's School Boat House
Spare a look to your left at the SPSBC which has produced countless numbers of national and olympic rowers, and we may even catch them on the river.
The White Hart Pub
On our left, we'll pass the historic White Hart Pub that has been on this site since XXX.
Mortlake Brewery
As we approach the brewery, we'll walk over the Victorian sewer system that runs under Mortlake and the scene of the gripping climax in The Putney Bridge Killer.
National Archives Kew
As we pass under Chiswick Bridge, we will see the end post of the boatrace, and round the bend in the river towards the National Archives. This is where Julie Andrews worked in the Thames Path Killer, and along which she was brutally attacked on her way home one raining evening.
We will end our tour here, at the National Archives, where we will gather for coffee and refreshments in their wonderful canteen. You can also purchase a copy of The Thames Path Killer or The Putney Bridge Killer at the archives bookstore, which the author will sign for you with a personalised not. Then, you are free to explore or head off to Kew Station for your journey home.
